Questions:-  (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr 769 tag axle – 8.56m)

What are the pitches like?

Excellent – hardstandings.  All a decent size (smallest being 90m2).  Couldn’t see any that we wouldn’t have been happy in (all are allocated on arrival)

This is a huge site (over 1000 pitches), which would not normally appeal to us, but it was very well done and we felt extremely comfortable.

Is there water on each pitch?

Yes – every pitch is fully serviced (including a TV point)

What is the electric like?

16A – absolutely no problems

Drainage?

Yes – on each pitch so excellent if you have a pipe.

What’s the site access like?

Excellent- come off the Ap7/A7 for Catral and run along the service road

What are the Sanitary facilities like?

There are numerous toilet blocks throughout the site (located along every 3rd or 4th row). Each block is pretty much identical and includes washing up facilities, laundry and CWD points

Toilets:                           Very, very good with toilet paper provided

Showers:                       Excellent and plentiful.  Heating floor, proper taps, hot water

What other facilities are there?

Bins , CWD and dshwashing area (including laundry sinks) in EVERY sanitary block

Laundry (3.50 Euros wash, 3 Euros dry (although when we used the dryer, due to high winds… our washing still wasn’t dry after the full 60 minutes) – 1 block in each ‘area’.  4 washing machines and 2 driers in each

Bar, restaurant, spa, indoor pool, tennis, padel, bike hire (all extra)…. Chicken & chips stall open at the weekend

Motorhome service area if needed

Reception

Swimming pools (including a waterpark – sadly not open when we visited).  The pool that was open was ice cold (although I did still manage to get in 🙂 )

Spa with indoor pool (extra charge)

Entertainment in the square

Mini-golf (paying – and pretty much impossible!)

Supermarket (selling Pukka pies!)

All open out of season 🙂

Lots of tasteful bungalows for hire

Is there any internet; if so how much and how good?

Yes; I got suckered in and paid 16E for 15 nights…. I should have known it was too good to be true.  Absolutely useless.  Don’t waste your money 😦

Very friendly 🙂

How much is it?

We paid 23.00 Euro pn on ACSI which was an absolute bargain for what we got! There are discounts if you stay longer.  If you use more than 4kw electric per night you will pay extra

What’s the area like?

Too far away really to visit Alicante (unless you have a car with you).  We used our bikes and explored the lanes behind the site, finding Abanilla and the site of the concentration camp and also to visit Catral, mainly for shopping (can highly recommend the Hiperber)

Plenty of people were cycling to Creveillente itself where I believe there is a train station opening up many more possibilities 🙂

Suitable for 5th Wheelers?  Absolutely

All the facilities

We didn’t like so much:-

Just the Wi-fi signal (especially when you’ve paid for it)

We hated:-

Nothing

Moving On:

We headed on to La Fuente, Los Banos de Fortuna (about 30 miles away!)
