Questions:-  (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)

What are the pitches like?

A variety of sizes, they are not huge but you can pay a little extra for a larger pitch.  We didn’t do this and managed to fit in to an end pitch (I think it was pitch 7) with no problem.

Is there water on each pitch?

No, fill up before pitching as the tap is at the bottom of the hill

What is the electric like?

Very good – no issues at all

Drainage?

Yes – there is a good motorhome service area.  Again at the bottom of the hill with the water

What’s the site access like?

Good – turn right off the Via Ronco by the Brico shop.  You can’t miss it on the right.  Once in it is a fairly steep hill down off which the various pitch areas are located

What are the Sanitary facilities like?

Toilets:             Good, individual, fully enclosed cubicles + a small cubicle with a tiny toilet especially for children 🙂

Toilet paper provided? Yes                                                                                              Showers:                             Looked absolutely fine, but we used our own facilities

What other facilities are there?

Bins etc.

Laundry & washing lines

Dish washing and laundry sinks

Motorhome Service Area

Amphitheatre for entertainment

Restaurant (wonderful food; best to book though.  The night we visited it was rather chaotic – not sure if this was normal though!)     Pizza takeaway

Little shop

Children’s play area

Swimming pool – lovely swimming pool!  Swimming hats compulsory

Pool bar

Is there any internet; if so how much and how good?

I don’t remember having any problems with our signal

How welcoming are they at reception and staff in general?

The welcome was the best we’d had!  Very friendly and efficient 🙂

How much is it?

We paid 21E per night + tourist tax on ACSI (which translated to £80 for 4 nights)

What’s the area like?

Not an awful lot going on in the immediate area (although not far from a shopping centre in this tax haven)

There is a bus stop at the entrance to the site from where you can go directly up to the historic centre of San Marino (which is well worth a visit).  I will be adding a post at some point 🙂

Suitable for 5th Wheel Vans?

Probably not

More detail:

The Good:-

The pool

The welcome

Being in San Marino

Most of the other campers were very friendly, which was nice as we hadn’t experienced this so much as we headed through Italy unfortunately

What could be improved:

A little tired in places, but overall clean and well looked after

Perhaps encourage the entertainment to be a little quieter (although it did stop at about 11pm)

Hopefully it was a one-off, but the restaurant needs more staff potentially.  It’s very popular, with the locals as well as campers, and service was chaotic on the night we visited

 We really didn’t like:

Nothing.  We loved it.  So much that our initial intending 2 nights turned, very quickly, into 4 nights 🙂

Moving On:

We headed to Venice and Camping Serenissima (another ACSI find)

Would we return?

Absolutely 🙂
