Questions:-  (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr 769 tag axle – 8.56m)

What are the pitches like?

Good sized pitches.  All grass in 2 separate areas separated by a hedge

Is there water on each pitch?

No, but fairly easily accessible

What is the electric like?

10A– excellent

Drainage?

Yes – easily accessible motorhome service point

What’s the site access like?

Entrance is off a fairly busy main road.

What are the Sanitary facilities like?

Toilets:                              Decent sized toilet block

Toilet paper provided? Yes                                                                                                                   Showers:                          showers available at 60p for 6 minutes of hot water

Sanitary facilities are not particularly keen.  We only stayed 1 night, but the friends we were meeting had been there for a few days.  What they noticed was the same bits of dirt and grime not disappearing, despite someone going in to clean daily….  After 1 use they wouldn’t use the showers again….

What other facilities are there?

Bins and CWD

Dishwashing area

Hair drier in the ladies and shaving socket in the gents

Is there any internet; if so how much and how good?

No, and not a brilliant signal for our own

Okay – possibly more about getting your money straight away!  The lady did allow us to stay a little later on the Sunday though so that we could watch an England world cup match.

How much is it?

We paid £20 per night including electric.

What’s the area like?

Not far from Bournemouth Airport so plenty of activity there.  Of course within striking distance of both Bournemouth and the New Forest so in a lovely area (although personally I think it’s a little far out from each – but if you want to just stay at 1 site and visit both then I guess it’s perfect!)

More detail:

We liked:-

The area

The owners

The excellent facilities

We didn’t like so much:-

Just Blackpool itself!  Nothing to do with the campsite of course 🙂

We hated:-

Nothing

Moving On:

We headed towards home via Devizes to see family.
