Address: Viale Gaetano, Lucca, Liguria, Italy, 55100
Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)
Detail: A Sosta solely for motorhomes within 1/2 mile of the walled town of Lucca
CDW & grey water drain in one. Water. Rubbish bins. 2 x bbqs. Large site with plenty of room.
There are approx. 60 spaces in total. We took an end pitch which was perfect for us.
Next to a fairly busy road but not overly noisy.
Felt very safe 🙂
What’s the site access like? Excellent – press the button to take a ticket and the barrier will open. Pay at the Cassa before leaving (allowed up to 4 nights). On leaving you might need to shuffle about a bit to get the barrier to go up..!
How much is it? We paid 10 Euros per night (in May)
What’s the area like?:
Lucca is beautiful with a huge amount of history and charm. Make sure you walk or cycle along the city walls. (See my blog post here)
There are many attractions to visit – sadly the Torre Guinigi was closed for maintanence when we visited 😦
Moving on: Next stop was a short hop to Pisa 🙂
Would we return?? Yes, absolutely if we were in the area
