Good for: Journey south through France into Italy) A tiny little village.
Address: Bourgneuf, Savoie [73], Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France, 73390
Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)
Detail: A large local car park, with views of the mountains, mainly used by campers and motorhomes
What’s the site access like? Good – turn left by the church / boulangerie. There is a burnt-out restaurant at the end of the access road but the park up is to the right of this.
How much is it? Free to park and stay. 2 Euros for water, but emptying is free
What’s the area like?:
Village is tiny. We visited the bar on the main road (turn right by the church) and had a great evening chatting with a couple of local lads (them brushing up on their English and me on my French!)
The boulangerie is very good (if a little expensive – but then everything is expensive in France!)
The toilet is a wonderful facility to have. Very clean but need your own loo roll and soap 🙂
Moving on: Next stop was Italy!! After heading over the Mont Cenis Pass we stayed at a Sosta in Chianocco, just over the border (the drive was tiring and we kept stopping to take in the views!!)
Would we return?? Definitely 🙂
