Review for Free Motorhome Parking with services, Chaumont, France

Country: France

Co-ordinates: N48.8549  E5.33513

https://www.searchforsites.co.uk/marker.php?id=4678

Good for: 2nd, or 3rd (as for us) stop off after the ferry or train into Calais. Looked like a lovely town (when we drove through on our way further south), but we didn’t have the time or energy to visit sadly.

Phone: Not known (search Port La Maladerie if interested)

Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)

Detail: Dedicated area by the canal for approx 8-10 vans.  All services included (including electric).  Lovely canal walks both ways and a supermarket with washing machines and fuel (Le Clerc) either a 20 minute walk, or 5 minute drive away

What’s the site access like? Good – follow your sat nav away from town. You can’t miss it.

How much is it? 8.44 Euros including tax

What’s the area like?:

Town looked lovely, but looks like a bit of a walk (we were too tired to attempt!)

Friendly ‘capatiniere’ (medallion man) – very helpful 🙂

Good walks along the canal – I even ran in the morning 🙂

Moving on: Next stop on the route south was Sennecy le Grand

Would we return?? Perhaps
