Review for Free Motorhome Parking with services, Chianocco, Italy

Country: Italy

Co-ordinates: N45.14101  E7.16577

https://www.searchforsites.co.uk/marker.php?id=12714

Good for: 1st stop in Italy after crossing the Mont Cenis Pass

Address: Chianocco, 33, Italy, 10050

Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)

Detail: A proper Sosta (could once have been a tiny campsite) with a toilet, 2 ‘accessible’ spots and a electric bike charging point (and tools for fixing punctures etc) in the shadow of the Alps

We couldn’t find the CDW, but are starting to learn that perhaps it’s the same drain as the grey waste…..

Also has free WiFi (we eventually worked out that that was why a girl was pacing around with her dog for ages in the evening…)

What’s the site access like? Good – there is a 3.7m limit bridge just before the site.  The sign is immediately on the access so get ready to turn right as soon as you see it 🙂

How much is it? Free to park and stay.  It looks as though there used to be a charge but not any more

What’s the area like?:

It was raining and we were tired so we didn’t explore.  However, there are views of the mountains, there is a small vineyard to one side and a river to the other.

The toilet is a good facility to have.  Could be cleaner, but it wasn’t dirty dirty.  (If we’d been staying another night we would have given it a clean ourselves by way of a thank you 🙂

Moving on: Next stop was further south, a lovely city of Cuneo.  Well worth a visit 🙂

Would we return?? Probably 🙂
