Good for: Journey south through France (we were on our way to Italy) A lovely little town.
Address: Sennecey-le-Grand, Saône-et-Loire, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France, 71240
Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)
Detail: A Borne dedicated area in front of the castle for approx 8-10 vans. All services available (including electric) for 5Euros. Bars and boulangeries/patisseries all within a short walk (also a butchers and various other shops)
If there’s no space there’s a wonderful campsite at Gigny-sur-Saone which is accessed from the same main road (we’ve stayed there twice and can highly recommend it)
What’s the site access like? Good – it’s by the road by the castle. You can’t miss it.
How much is it? Free to park and stay. 5Euros for services
What’s the area like?:
Town is lovely. The aire is right beside the SAS museum and the castle. 5 min walk to the shops etc.
It is right by the road though, which is quite busy. We slept fine though.
Moving on: Next stop on the route south was Bourgneuf on the way to the Alps
Would we return?? Probably not, as it was too close to the road for us
