Good for: Moving through Italy, heading south
Address: Celle Ligure, Provincia di Savona, Liguria, Italy, 17015
Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)
Detail: A Sosta at the end of a large car park (clearly marked out for motorhomes) right next to the motorway (you can’t see it, but can hear it).
CDW & grey water drain in one. Water. (Located over the bridge at the end of the car park). Rubbish bins
There are approx. 20 spaces in total, many of which are quite sloping. We took pitch 18 right at the end, which was one of the few that we could fit into (and wasn’t too sloping).
It was very noisy in the spot we were in, but probably quieter as you move further away from the motorway. We still slept fine though 🙂
What’s the site access like? Good – there is a narrow bridge just before the site, but this isn’t a problem. The access is immediately before the toll plazas for the motorway – head around the hairpins up towards the motorway and take a left immediately before the payment booths. (The aire is clearly marked)
How much is it? Free
What’s the area like?:
Celle Ligure is rather charming, full of colourful old villas lining the seaside promenade and parading up the hills.
There is an abundance of street art and a cycle path heading up the coast using the Gallercia Crocetta (an old railway tunnel)
The walk down (and back up) from the parking area is very steep…
The beach is much nicer than others we saw along our route (which were black and gritty).
Moving on: Next stop was further south to Marina di Massa (not as nice as it might sound…:( )
Would we return?? Probably not..
