Questions:-  (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr 769 tag axle – 8.56m)

What are the pitches like?

Good – hard ground.  Fairly good size but could be quite tight getting on – we arrived when there were a few empty pitches which meant we were able to manoeuvre a bit more (we would have struggled if there had been more vans pitched up)

Is there water on each pitch?

Yes

What is the electric like?

6A in a sealed unit (by which I mean you can’t re-set it yourself).  Tripped several times, which wouldn’t be a problem if we were able to reset it ourselves.  We were being very careful to turn off heating when using kettle; not using kettle at same time as hair drier etc..

Drainage?

Yes – on each pitch so excellent if you have a pipe.  Also a big drive over drain by the car wash

What’s the site access like?

Fairly good access from the road; tight on site

What are the Sanitary facilities like?

If I was to pay homage to campsite toilets these would be at the top of the list!!

2 blocks with Separate ladies and gents. Extremely clean.

Enclosed cubicles with toilet paper, toilet seats and soap provided 🙂  Slightly strange that the hand driers are located up high – would be perfect for drying your hair!

Toilets:                              Numerous cubicles – 1 slightly bigger.  Also a disabled cubicle separate (unisex)  Just 1 sink for 5 toilets, but there are another 5 in the shower area

Showers:                          Numerous cubicles.  Decent size & very good.

What other facilities are there?

Bins and CWD

Dishwashing area (and laundry sinks)

Laundry (5.5 Euros wash, 4.5 Euros dry)

Reception

2 x swimming pools (inside and outside – swimming hats required), bar and snack-bar

Sauna and solarium (charged – sauna is 10.80 for 2 hours)

Supermarket, children’s play area

Bike hire; car wash; electric car and bike charging point

Table tennis & mega chess

Children’s play areas

All open out of season 🙂

A small number of bungalows for hire

Is there any internet; if so how much and how good?

Yes; charged at 6 Euros for 10 hrs, 10 Euros for 20 hrs  or 20 Euros for 45 hrs. I’m having no problem with ours.

Excellent

How much is it?

We paid 19.00 Euro per night including electric, + 1.00 Euro per night local tax

What’s the area like?

Looked to be a very interesting old town very close by.  Also close to Figueres, Girona and Pubol where Salvador Dali had a castle.  We visited Empuries and Castello Montgri which stands above Toerrelo de Montgris

Also plenty of cycle routes and it was a good area for running
