Questions:-  (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr 769 tag axle – 8.56m)

What are the pitches like?                

Excellent pitches (a mix of hardstandings and grass – mostly hardstandings) with some jumbo pitches (really not needed with the availability of facilities).  Good spacing. All fully serviced

Is there water on each pitch?            

Yes – all pitches fully serviced

What is the electric like?           

16A– excellent


Yes – easily accessible motorhome service point

What’s the site access like?        

Entrance is off a quiet country line just off of a fairly busy main road,

What are the Sanitary facilities like?    

Toilets:                              Generous sized toilet block – excellent facilities (including hairdryer)

Toilet paper provided? Yes                                                                                                                   Showers:                          Nice showers

Sanitary facilities are of an excellent standard (including piped radio)

What other facilities are there?    

Bins and CWD

Dog walk

Dishwashing area


Laundry facilities (excellent facilities)

Farm Shop and cafe.  Butchery

On-site wardens

Is there any internet; if so how much and how good?    

No, but signal fine for our own

Very good – reception stayed open for us

How much is it?     

We paid £24 per night including electric.

What’s the area like?            

Lovely historic area.  We were only over-nighting on our way home from a family event but were told not to worry about rushing off (another plus), and so spent the morning heading for the viaduct and seeing a couple of lovely villages on the way 🙂
