Good for: A relaxed stopover minutes from a choice of supermarkets (Aldi, Carrefour & Lidl), a beautiful beach and a good night out 🙂

Address: Las Lagunas de Mijas, Málaga, Andalucía, Spain, 29649

Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)

Relevant Post:- Heading South to the Sun 🙂

Detail:  Dedicated parking area in the nicer part of town…

What’s the site access like? Easy – straight off the A7; head for the vans (you can’t miss it)

How much is it? Free

What’s the area like?:

Okay, so you’re right next to the A7, but you don’t really notice it as the car park is so large and you’re right at the back.

Officially it’s only the back 2 rows, but vans will park in front if there’s no room and generally will be able to get ‘in’ the next morning as people leave (this is what we did this time).  The market is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays so be careful parking like this on Tuesdays & Fridays as you may be moved on by the police.

There is now a proper CWD point, but currently no water (due to the ongoing drought)

Cross the road for good choice of bars, cafes and restaurants (Biddy Mulligan’s & El Gusto are a couple of our favourites).  Also good barbers and hairdressers.

This time we met a few couples here and had a rather good night in!

Downpoint is there are quite a number of people who seem to be living here now, which is a shame

Would we return?

Absolutely
