Detail:

We stayed in March 2024

This was our 4th overnight stop on the N2, which we completed from South to North.

Dedicated area close to a very busy Pingo Doce supermarket (we went in twice and walked out as the queues were so long)

Plenty of space

What’s the site access like? Easy, not far off the main road

How much is it? Free

Services?:   Full services

What’s the area like?:

We really loved Serta and managed a good walk around.

We were glad that we walked up to the castle (what’s left of it) as our SatNav tried to take us up the road the next day!  We didn’t follow her!!!

Roman bridge, parks, a castle, old ruined houses that were clearly once majestic.  A replica of an olive oil mill on the river

Would we return?

Yes (sorry I forgot to take a photo of the area)
