Questions:-  (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Swift Kontiki 669 tag axle – 8.56m)

What are the pitches like?

Grass.  Pitch determined by where electric is.  Good size but blocks will be needed.  Good drainage when it rains, although there could be a bit of mud.

Is there water on each pitch?

No – but there are several taps.

What is the electric like?

10A– we had no problems.

Drainage?

Drain beside the toilet block

What’s the site access like?

Good access from the road.   The access road is opposite the car park for the Pityme Inn and access to the site is on the left hand bend at the bottom.

What are the Sanitary facilities like?

Toilets:                              1 ladies block, 1 gents block and 1 unisex block.  They could be cleaned more often..  Also the soap could do with being topped up!  (Plenty of cubicles though)

Toilet paper provided? Yes – not always filled up when needed                                                  Showers:                          As for the toilets.  Could do with more facilities for keeping clothes dry…

What other facilities are there?

Bins and CWD

Dishwashing area

Laundry

Views on our walk towards the sea and our car 🙂

We paid £23 per night including electric.

What’s the area like?

Well it’s Cornwall!  It’s 2 miles away from Rock (we walked home a couple of nights), and on the walk down there are local shops.  You can also walk to Polzeath from the farm and to Daymer Bay (and Rock) across St Endenoc Golf Course (with the added bonus of a visit to the ancient church).

Can I suggest you look at my post on Cornwall for more photos and a little more details on the area?! Click here 🙂

The views everywhere are just stunning.

We liked:-

The area

The walks

The beaches

Our whole weekend!

The relaxed nature of the site

Having a laundry

The views

We didn’t like so much:-

The toilets weren’t really cleaned often enough

We hated:-

Nothing

Moving On:

We headed to a site 1 mile down the road – the original site that we’d booked, Tregline Farm, until we realised they had no showers (and we had 4 people joining us for the weekend!)
