Review for Area Camper Garda, Lake Garda

Country: Italy

Co-ordinates: N45.5766  E10.7137

https://www.searchforsites.co.uk/marker.php?id=13243

Good for: Decent option for visiting Garda and perhaps as a base for the Lake itself (there is a bus stop very close by)

Address: Via Carmello Preite, Garda, 37016

Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)

Relevant Post:- Lovely Lake Garda – Italy, but not Italy

Detail: Dedicated motorhome parking area within easy walking distance of the Garda town

All general services (water, black and grey emptying)  Also toilets and showers.  Electric included

Alongside general parking but fully separate.  Met by an attendant (the lady speaks excellent English) and shown the pay machine (it’s very easy)

Easy walk into town – lots going on in the evenings.  Be careful of just sitting down at a lakeside restaurant. We let our guard down and ended up paying 71E for a simple lunch (including 4E each cover charge…)

Remember your water shoes for accessing the water from this area

What’s the site access like? Easy.  Best to go up the main road though rather than up past the cemetery.

How much is it? 21Euros per night

What’s the area like?:

Garda is lovely.  It’s the lakes!!

NOTE: On leaving the area we headed north alongside the lake (against our SatNav’s wishes!!)  We saw that there was a parking area for motorhomes at Malcesine (well worth a visit) – we wished we’d know!!

Moving on: Next stop was heading north towards the border.

Would we return?? Yes, felt safe and toilets/showers were very good 🙂
