Detail: Camping Car-Park site. We hadn’t stayed on one before and had no problem obtaining a card from the machine and paying for our 2 nights.
No toilets (anymore – this clearly used to be an actual campsite and 2 toilet blocks are still in evidence) but all other expected facilities. We even had a table tennis table to use 🙂
What’s the site access like? Easy – off of the main road after crossing the river.
How much is it? We paid 13E for 24 hours. You can pay extra for electric
What’s the area like?:
We cycled a total of 26 miles visiting the various forts, battlefields, museums and lost villages. A very thought provoking day.
Bakery and farm shop within walking/cycling distance. Overlooks the river and there is a cycle path along the river.
Apparently you can cycle along the canal to Verdun, but we didn’t head that way
Moving on: Next stop was in Luxembourg, although we didn’t stay for long..
Would we return?? Absolutely – in a heartbeat
