Good for: A stopover on the way from Rome to Pompeii (and visiting delightful Anagni itself 🙂
Address: Anagni, Provincia di Frosinone, Lazio, Italy, 03012
Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)
Relevant Post:- From Rome to Pompeii in 2 stops (with a visit to Hadrian’s Villa thrown in 🙂
Detail: A Sosta for motorhomes, shared with local tourist buses (we saw about 3 whilst there.
CDW & grey water drain. Water. Rubbish bins (although a code needed, so not really usable.
Felt perfectly safe 🙂 Situated beside a large cemetery. As well as the rubbish bins there are also recycling facilities so there was a flow of users, + someone teaching their kid to drive and taking them really close to the parked up motorhomes (which we thought was a bit too much…!)
What’s the site access like? Site access, when you get there, is good! This is up in the hills and at the base of an historic hillside town, so is a bit of a faff driving around the edge of the town and making sure you take the correct route (our satnav worked okay on this occasion!!)
How much is it? Free
What’s the area like?:
Lovely views from the parking area. We took an early morning walk inside the walls of the historic centre, which was a lovely surprise – and also bigger than we expected. Well worth a visit 🙂
Moving on: Next stop was a move further south at Montecassino (also high up in the hills, with 6 hairpin bends to negotitate 🙂
Would we return?? If we were to visit this area again we wouldn’t hesitate to use this sosta
