Detail: Dedicated motorhome sosta area within walking distance of a nice seaside town and some good beaches

All general services including toilets and showers, (although a marina, no washing machine and no washing up sinks).  Water is accessible, but best to fill up before parking up.  Grey drainage is down one of the many drains around the car park, and black waste is down the toilet….  A bit disappointing as they have down a good job with the parking area itself

There is a guard hut, with a couple of helpful guys manning it.

Easy walk into town with a nice feel, a castle, a cathedral and the narrowest street in Italy!

What’s the site access like? It’s likely that you need to ignore your satnav and plot your own route in.  The satnav will try to take you through the centre of town, which is unnecessary.  Stay on the big road until you get to a roundabout which shows a sign for the Port Captain.  This will take you straight there as the area is literally the first exit off the roundabout immediately before the port manager’s office.

How much is it? 20Euros per night = 5Euros if you want electric.

What’s the area like?:

It’s really lovely.  We walked around the old town and up the promenade, visiting the cathedral and the narrowest street.  On the 2nd evening, with comicon in full swing, we ventured around some of the new town, which was absolutely buzzing 🙂

Note, most of the beaches are paying, but there are free areas.  Whilst we were there they were still suffering from the after effects of the floods and were clearing debris along the shore line.  The beaches look like lovely and once the sea has cleaned itself (which it probably has by now) it will be perfect.

Moving on: Next stop was further upthe East coast at Pineta…

Would we return?? The only thing that would stop us is the fact of the emptying facilities not really being acceptable for the price being paid, but it was a lovely spot
