Good for: Visiting La Peza, a tiny town in the mountains.  Good walking and cycling opportunities

Address: La Peza, Granada, Andalucía, Spain, 18517

Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)

Relevant Post:- Heading South to the Sun 🙂

Detail:  Dedicated area for motorhomes with services (water, black and grey waste).  Room for approx. 10-12 vans, depending on sizes of course 🙂

What’s the site access like? Easyish through the outskirts of the town – follow the clear signs provided if there is any conflict with your SatNav!

How much is it? Free

What’s the area like?:

In front of, and below, the cemetery with a clear view of the castle ruins on a hill on the other side of town.

It’s hilly – the walk to the castle (we also went over to the Ermita on the other hill) is steeply down and steeply up, but the views are worth it.  On the way down we discovered an intact outdoor lavaderia.  We also saw many groups of old men sitting watching the world go by 🙂

Behind the area we cycled up to the mirador and a bit beyond.  There were really good cycle routes in the area.  But the hills are quite steep….

Then there was Fernando’s bar a few minutes walk down the, steep, hill.  Very friendly – it looked like there had been a good night in there the evening before!

Moving on: We went a couple of miles back towards the motorway to stop at the reservoir, which we had seen on our way in.

Would we return?? Yes, we would use this one again.  It was lovely 🙂
