Detail:

We stayed in April 2024

This was one of those overnight stops than turned out to be a bit of a delight 🙂

Venturing out we explored the walled town, finding loads of beautiful churches (none open, but 1 with a pig on the roof…), a clock tower, lots of information boards, numerous bars and eateries, a fantastic vibe, galleried terraces and gates in the town walls.

There is also 1 of those hatches in the convent where you can buy produce without you or the nun seeing each other (no sweets though unfortunately)

We both managed a 5km run along the river.

What’s the site access like? Very easy, and also signposted as you get closer

How much is it? Free

Services?:   1 motorhome service point – clean and tidy.  Bins

A couple of locals turned up to fill about 12 bottles with water, and a couple of men pulled in to wee behind the service area…. (No, I don’t know why either!!)

What’s the area like?:

In front of a park and next to the river.  There is a coach/lorry/car park in front and the train station is about 100m further along the road.  There are a couple of trains an hour – not in any way a problem.

Would we return?

Absolutely – in a heartbeat 🙂
