Good for: A stopover on the way south through France to Spain. However, it might be a little far off the route
Address: Morcenx-la-Nouvelle, Landes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, 40110
Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)
Relevant Post:- Heading South for some sun 🙂
Detail: Camping Car-Park within the nature reserve of Arjuzanx. Within 5 minutes walk of the park centre, and a cafe and shop (and toilets), and a large lake with sandy beach
Quiet situation.
Level pitches on a fairly new site, which is still being ‘bedded in’.
Shop in Morcenx-la-Nouvelle on the way to the site (also fuel and gas there)
What’s the site access like? Very easy.
How much is it? We paid 13.30E. Eventually worked out that I need to re-charge my card with the cost of the overnight stay before we could get in. (Note, if you don’t have a Camping Car Parks card, you can get 1 from the machine for 5E – which lasts then forever..)
What’s the area like?:
Very quiet. Lots of walks possible. I think this would be very busy in the summer months (or just when there is good weather)
Moving on: Next stop was Spain (Olite)
Would we return?? We would probably stay a bit closer to the route south next time, but yes, it was a lovely area 🙂
