Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)
What are the pitches like?
Lots of space to park up in. No clearly delineated pitches, but go by where the electric is placed 🙂
Is there water on each pitch?
No, but lots of taps available so easy to fill up
What is the electric like?
Very good – no issues at all
Drainage?
Yes – there is a motorhome service area by the toilet block.
What’s the site access like?
Good – turn right off the main road.
What are the Sanitary facilities like?
Toilets: Decent, but more cubicles containing a hole in the floor than normal toilets… Could have been cleaner, but they were acceptable overall
Toilet paper provided? Yes Showers: Looked okay (not the best we’ve seen), but we used our own facilities
What other facilities are there?
Bins etc.
Laundry
Camping kitchen if you’re in a tent
Dish washing and laundry sinks
Motorhome Service Area
Little shop
Children’s play area
Swimming pool – small but welcome. Swimming hats compulsory
Is there any internet; if so how much and how good?
I don’t remember having any problems with our signal
How welcoming are they at reception and staff in general?
The welcome was perfectly acceptable.
How much is it?
We paid 21E per night + tourist tax on ACSI (tourist tax was the cheapest anywhere at 20c per night :))
What’s the area like?
Opposite a river, with a bus stop opposite the entrance (having negotiated the fairly busy road to get to it)
Lidl a mile or so away, easy to get to on your bikes. (Right out of campsite, right at the traffic lights, left over the canal and onto the cycle path, right at the end)
Suitable for 5th Wheel Vans?
There’s certainly room
More detail:
The Good:-
The pool
The ease of getting into Venice – buy your tickets at reception for the bus. (on our last day we paid 25E each for the day ticket on which we went to Murano, Burano and all the way along the Grand Canal)
Very relaxed and not too big (but quite busy)
What could be improved:
A little tired in places, but fairly clean and well looked after
Perhaps convert most of the toilets to modern ones (there was often a queue, whilst no-one was using the holes in the floor)
We really didn’t like:
Nothing really 🙂
Moving On:
We headed to Verona for 1 night before making our way to Lake Garda
Would we return?
Yes, we would 🙂
