Good for: Run down to Spain for the sun 🙂
Address: Marboué, Eure-et-Loir, Centre-Val de Loire, France, 28200
Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)
Relevant Post:- Heading South to the Sun
Detail: Dedicated area for motorhomes with services (off the road in front of a leisure area by the river)
Situated on the edge of a small village, alongside the river and just a minute from the main road. You can see the traffic but it isn’t an issue at all. The services are closed off and covered up and the toilets are locked (in February), but it’s possible to empty both black and grey waste. Nice view looking out towards the river and just sitting here watching a lone man practicing his boule skills 🙂 Would use again.
Many have commented on how good the bakery is. I beg to differ – I wasn’t overly impressed unfortunately 😦
What’s the site access like? Easy – turn off the main road before the bridge – then you can’t miss it.
How much is it? Free
What’s the area like?:
We carried on along the road away from the main road, looping back up through the houses just for a short walk in between the rain showers. It looked lovely but couldn’t really explore properly unfortunately.
Moving on: Next stop was the Vivonne for another overnight stop
Would we return?? Yes we would, but we haven’t as there are so many little towns and villages with aires to explore in France!
