CDW & grey water drain.  Water.  Rubbish bins. Electric.  Scruffy, tight site that is useful only for visiting Florence.

There are several pitches amongst what appears to be a storage area; the site is off a busy road at the end of a single lane – the only way out if the gate is closed is to reverse.

The gate was closed when we arrived!  Luckily another camper was leaving – the only way for them to get out was to let us in….  We managed to contact the owner, and somehow got the code (although we were already in so didn’t need it).  When he got back to site (he has an office in a tiny little caravan in the corner) he came to see us and went through all the formalities, including giving us a map and telling us how to get to Florence.  Lovely old man, very friendly.

Felt very safe 🙂  But, although people were, it wasn’t really suitable to sit out.  It was just a park up.

What’s the site access like? Okay. There is a sign, but it was on the other side from the way we approached, so we were really confused at first as it did just look like a storage site!

How much is it? We paid 20 Euros per night (in May)

What’s the area like?:

The immediate area isn’t brilliant.  There’s a cake shop (but nowhere close to get bread..) The tram stop is about a 10 minute walk away, the bus stop is at the end of the lane to the site.

Obviously we were just there to visit Florence (having tried 2 other areas previously)

Moving on: Next stop was a fairly short hop to Monteriggiano on the way to Siena:)  (Much nicer place to stop!!)

Would we return?? No.  But it served a purpose
