Detail: A Sosta for motorhomes, as part of a coach park situated below the historic walled city of Siena
CDW & grey water drain. Water. Rubbish bins. Toilets (1Euro) behind the pay kiosk.
Felt perfectly safe 🙂 Cameras + attendants during the day. Wasn’t even too noisy despite being, effectively, a giant roundabout!
What’s the site access like? Very good. It’s clearly signposted. You have to go up past it and back to enter.
How much is it? We paid 20 Euros per night (in May). Reasonable when you consider the location
What’s the area like?:
Immediate area isn’t pretty. Walk back to the entrance and cross the road on the left. Pass the estate agents and take a left to head up towards the city. You have to walk on the road for a while before a pavement is provided. After about 1/2 mile, immediately after the city gate, you will come to the escalators to take you up to the city.
Moving on: Next stop was a move to the coast at Orbetello 🙂
Would we return?? If we were to visit Siena again we wouldn’t hesitate to use this sosta
