Detail:

We stayed in April 2024

This was our 8th overnight stop on the N2, which we completed from South to North.  We stayed for 2 nights, but could happily have stayed another

Dedicated area without services, although services, including electric are available.  Electric costs 3E – other services are available to all

Plenty of space, but would suggest not arriving too late – we got the last decent space arriving at 5.30pm (which is really late for us!)

What’s the site access like? Easy, it is the last exit on the roundabout after crossing the bridge if you’re heading north, or the last exit before the bridge if you’re heading south

How much is it? Free

Services?:   Full services – there are toilets available just a short distance along the riverside path.

What’s the area like?:

We walked along the river and back along the road.  Lots of bars and restaurants offering wine tasting so good if that’s your thing 🙂

Walk over the Ponte de Metalica for a very post restaurant – again, if that’s what you’re after 🙂

We walked around a market that looked more like a jumble sale!  We also woke up to some sort of plant market surrounding us along the riverside.  Very entertaining!

Very popular.

There is also an outdoor swimming pool.  Obviously not open in March though.

Would we return?

Yes – definitely
