Country: Portugal

Co-ordinates: 37.072465N, 7.799137E

Good for: Small site alongside a small villa B&B.  Away from the crowds of the Algarve but within easy driving/cycling distance of the beach.

Address: Moncarapacho, Olhão, Faro District, Portugal, 8700

Questions:- (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr E769 tag axle – 8.56m)

Detail: Lovely little site located in the hills above Fuseta. Owner really accommodating. We walked into Moncarapacho 1 day and got back easily following the ribbons that he had left in the trees and hedges 🙂  Note – it’s also easy to cycle into the town.

Toilets good (no toilet paper provided), washing machine. Lovely swimming pool. Nice cycle down to the coast – we went down to Fuseta via the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve and along the Ecovia cycle route. Good Intermarche in Moncaraphacho (easily cycleable)

The owner had made a mistake with our booking so we ended up parked up separate to others but with 16amp electric – we weren’t complaining!

Would advise booking ahead as very popular.

The site has new owners since we visited, which we suspected as we were sure we saw potential buyers visiting!

What’s the site access like? Easy enough – just a slightly steep bit as you approach, but no issues.

How much is it? We paid 20E per night – which was excellent value

What’s the area like?:

As mentioned can walk to the closest town by turning left out of the site and following the ribbons.  Also good for cycling either to the town or down to the beach.  Lovely beach at Fuseta.

Would we return?

Yes, if we were in the area
