Review for de Bois-Redon, Septfonds nr. Caussade

Address:                                  10 Chemin de Bonnet, 82249 Septfonds

Good for visiting:                 Caussade.  We only stayed one night so didn’t see anything – there seems to be an awful lot of history in the area though.

Questions:-  (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Bessacarr 769 tag axle – 8.56m)

What are the pitches like?

Good – grass on hard grounds.

We were allowed in even though bigger than units they normally accept – we parked up on one of the roads.

Is there water on each pitch?

No but easily accessible from taps

What is the electric like?

Possibly 16A, we had no issues at all

Drainage?

Yes

What’s the site access like?

Very good into the campsite, but slightly tight roads on approach – we had no problem though 🙂  Well sign-posted from the main road.

What are the Sanitary facilities like?

Excellent facilities; heated, appeared very clean (but not as clean as we first thought); unisex. Toilet roll provided but no soap.  2 blocks – the newer one was open for us – very new 🙂

Toilets:                              3 cubicles + disabled cubicle.  Plus more toilets – including squat toilets in the old block

Showers:                          3 showers.  A little on the small side but with hooks to hang clothes etc. + 1 x washing cubicle

What other facilities are there?

Bins (including composting) and CWD

Dishwashing area (and laundry sinks) + dishwasher! (we couldn’t work out how much it was to use this facility)

Washing machine and drier

Volleyball, basketball and table-tennis

Reception – with number to call when closed

Swimming pool, bar and restaurant (closed out of season – from 31st October I think)

Forest walks and cycle paths

Bungalows and lodges for hire

Is there any internet; if so how much and how good?

I don’t think so, but I’m having no problem with ours.  Although a little difficult to upload photos…

Very friendly, helpful lady – very good English spoken

How much is it?

We paid 17 Euro per night including electric – using the ACSI card, + 1 Euro per night local tax

What’s the area like?

The immediate area is lovely.  The site is in woods and there is a forest walk around it of about 40 minutes.
