Questions:-  (This review is from the point of view of motorhomers driving a Swift Kontiki 669 tag axle – 8.56m)

What are the pitches like?

Good sized pitches.  Grass with a sandy base so very well draining.  Well maintained.  Room for 15-20 units

Is there water on each pitch?

No  – but taps are easily accessible. There is a service point with numerous rubbish bins and CWD.

What is the electric like?

25A – excellent

Drainage?

Yes – in the motorhome service area and behind toilet blocks

What’s the site access like?

Excellent.  The entrance is immediately off of Icklingham Road opposite the entrance to the West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

What are the Sanitary facilities like?

Toilets:                              Excellent –  3 individual cubicles + 1 disabled (not dirty by any means, but could be cleaned a little more often..)  Hand sanitiser provided.

Toilet paper provided? Yes                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Showers:                          Good, decent size (as above, not dirty, but could be cleaner).  2 ladies and 2 gents.  The wash basins were also in the shower area.

What other facilities are there?

Washing up area.

Bins, CWD.

Horse-riding possible

Forest walks

No.  Occasional 4G signal, but often nothing.

Welcoming and friendly.  Very easy-going.  Pitch up and Lee or Jane will come find you.

How much is it?

£16 per night including electric

What’s the area like?

Lovely – on a riding school at the edge of the Kings Forest.  Lots of walks and cycle paths.  A walk along the river and around the lake in the West Stow Country Park opposite.

Very close to Bury St Edmunds, which is lovely
