Stay with us as we discover the delights of Yorkshire and Northumberland.
And I do mean delights! At this stage we are still in Flamborough, on a campsite with spectacular views over the Bempton Cliffs. We have, so far, visited Spurn Head, many coastal villages (and seen much erosion of roads etc.), Filey and Scarborough.
Filey and Scarborough in particular have really surprised us with just how lovely they are. We can’t wait to visit Whitby and Robin Hood Bay over the course of the next few days. We’re also going to visit Hull itself – we can’t really miss it as it is European City of Culture for 2017 🙂
9/9/17 Update:
Now in the Yorkshire Dales we have totally fallen in love with another area of this amazing country of ours (again!!)
We have discovered some of the realities of ‘living’ in the dales when we needed a shop after 7pm…!
We’ve also visited York, Harrogate and Knaresborough. We are truly having the time of our lives 🙂
Next up we will head back to the North Yorks Moors for a few days before, finally, heading for Northumberland 🙂
See the following posts for what we got up to:-
